Mayor Muti discussed what he was faced with upon taking office on January 1, 2003, and he also spoke about his accomplishments since then. The Chairperson agreed to allow an extra 5 minutes for both Peter Malvasi and the Mayor to complete their presentations.

At the conclusion of the debate, the Mayor and Peter shook hands and both parties indicated that they would be willing to sit down together, and discuss some of the issues that were brought up this evening.
